As the Super Bowl began, flakes started dropping outside. By late evening, they were sticking. The early morning brought notice of no school and when two kids awoke, they were delighted to find 7 inches of snow all around.
Sadly it was not the best snow for making snowmen, but it was great for snow angels, swimming and endless slides. There was a lot of donning the snow gear, venturing outside, and then coming back to set it by the fire. Puzzles were done, pictures were colored, and movies were watched. This was followed by cooler temps the next day but more of the same fun. They are both ready to head back to school, but these last few days were pretty spectacular.
