U Pick, I Pick

With the nice weather this past weekend, Kyle and I traveled down the road to pick strawberries and raspberries.  Kyle was very serious with picking strawberries quickly filling her container.  However, when we got to the raspberries, she suddenly learned she could eat them.  Somehow no berries made it into her container after that!

In much more alarming news, Kyle suffered her first extensive owie this weekend after wiping out irn the driveway.  The need for her first Band-Aid brought on much dramatics including limping and requests for hugs.  Luckily it healed nicely over night and she spent the next day showing off her badge of honor.

I got this

Kyle has stepped full force into the role of big sister.  She loves entertaining him and making sure I know what he is doing at all times.  Jack has handled this in stride including a few toys being thrust in his face.  For the most part, when she comes around, he quiets and stares with big eyes.  Perhaps he is already learning big sister is in charge.  As she informed me this morning, "I got this."

Don't worry. She still has fun.

Love squishy babies

I don't think anyone would question they are related.

Happy Daddy's Day

Very early this morning, Kyle made sure to wish her daddy a Happy Father's Day.  She might not have completely understood since she also wished mommy the same.  However, all was great in the world when she discovered the morning involved pancakes and hide-n-seek.

Happy Father's Day to a great Daddy!  We are definitely blessed to have you in our lives.

One Month Old

Based on camera usage and blog postings, Jack is definitely a second child.  Luckily he seems perfectly content in that position.  I remember when Kyle was one month I took approximately t100 pictures for the perfect shot and posted on the blog immediately.  Jack had a much shorter series and a busy day on Friday the 13th that did not include time for posting.

At one month, Jack is gaining weight and filling out his newborn clothes.  He is more alert and has entertained us with the smirks of a smile.  He buttered up to his Grammi.  Similar to Kyle, Jack sleeps fairly well at night but is an early waker.  In this regard, he fits right in with the family.  He loves listening to his big sister, swinging, and cuddling with his mommy.

The Best Farm Ever

In order to thank Grammi for coming to stay, we spent Saturday at one of Kyle's favorite places.  It's quite possible Kyle's idea of a farm is not quite what she would expect if growing up in Iowa, but it's still a great place to visit.  It's no surprise Grampi asked "Who is having more fun?" referring to Kyle and Grammi.

In case you wondered what Jack was doing.
