Local Harvester

It may not be an international, but Kyle gets super excited any time she sees her Daddy in the tractor.   Even more thrilling is when you get to drive the tractor.

Reminds me of some other photos and great memories!

Take a Seat

Kyle has grown especially fond of sitting anywhere that might be a chair for her size.  This includes our cupboards.  It also includes a set of cushions that I suspect she'll be thrilled to find out will someday be an actual child-size chair.  We're just waiting for the fabric cover.

Life is even better when those same cushions can be used to belly-flop!

Another member of the household has also found new places to sit and relax.

Yes, that little spec is Mischief, who somehow squeezed her body through a bannister to find a new spot.

Yard Work

We've (okay, Travis) has been tackling a bit of yard work at our new place.  Luckily, he's had help!

Walking with the animals

Down the road from us, a nursery has a small animal farm with goats, ducks, sheep, chickens, and even peacocks.  Kyle went for her first trek with the animals earlier this month.  She was quite enthralled, although mostly with rocks.

Happy Mama's Day

For Mother's Day, I decided to do something a little different this year.  I gathered with friends, put on white and ran through the streets of Seattle getting blasted with color for it's inagural Color Run. It was fun and exhilirating and just the thing I wanted to recognize this special day.  Luckily, Kyle and Travis were there to cheer me on.

Just Another Day

As can be expected, it's a bit rainy here, a typical Seattle spring.    This means finding ways to entertain our selves, such as reading magazines.  However, on those rare moments of sunshine, we love to get outside for a bit.

Who wouldn't enjoy a view like this!  To say we love our new house may be an understatement.

Climbing on Up

After showing no interest in the stairs for quite some time, Kyle is now fascinated by the prospect of climbing.  It's possible she has a bit of her mother in her since Kyle waited until she could absolutely make it to the top before even attempting this feat.  To our surprise and a bit of parenting fear, we heard her giggling one morning and looked up to find her staring down from above.  Baby gates have gone up fast.  She'll let you know she can do it though!
