Splish Splash

Summer has finally come to Seattle and temperatures have finally got into the 80s.  Kyle and I took advantage by venturing out with a friend to a neighborhood splash area.  Kyle was more enthralled with the bouncy feeling of the ground and the tons of kids then getting wet. 

Just a little off the top

Kyle had her first haircut recently, by a professional stylist nonetheless - Aunt Stephie.  Even Auntie can make a trim of the bangs look absolutely fabulous.

Big Shoes to Fill

Kyle has found a new love for my running shoes and will often try to put them on her own feet.  She has some big shoes to fill since this momma just finished her third half marathon.  Luckily an amazing little lady (and her dada) were there to cheer me on as I conquered a killer hill to the finish!

However, Kyle was not going to let mama have all the glory.  This past weekend, Kyle finished her first 5K with a little help.  Amazingly, despite an extra 30 pounds of stroller and a baby who insisted on having a snack, a PR was set for the course.  Kyle loved every minute of it and got lots of waves.

Miss Independent

As we celebrate the Nation's independence and the many freedoms we cherish this Fourth of July, Kyle has been working on her independence as well. 

She makes her own car speed across the floor.

She entertains herself with the help of a few friends.

The Other Side of the Mountains

Last weekend, we traveled over the Cascades to spend a little time at Lake Chelan with family.  As usual, a grand time was had by all.
