Bring on the Beach

We jettisoned out to Jetty Island for a little time on the beach.  Sadly, the weather was not outstanding, but there was still plenty of fun.  Once Kyle got over the initial sand reaction (which her mother never quite did), she had a blast running in the tidepools and chasing seagulls.  Despite her yells of "wait" they never did.

You Better Jump Around

Kyle had her first bouncy house experience last weekend, and let's say she loved it.  Her mother didn't necessarily love the tantrum at the end, which meant she had to crawl into the bouncy house to retrieve Kyle (but, we will just pretend that did not happen).

The Rails are Coming Down

Last weekend, we made a major change in our household.  After she started climbing into her crib, we decided it was time for Kyle to transition to a toddler bed.  So the front rail came down.  Kyle found the fact tools were involved to be quite exciting.  When it was finally time for sleep, she was a bit enthralled by this new found freedom.  Lucky for us, she settled down for the night quite quickly.  However, naps have been a bit more of a struggle and a few times she might have been found sleeping on the floor.

Color Her Rad

Kyle and I run a fair number of 5ks during the summer.  We also log quite a few miles in trusting Bob.  Just today, I told her she had to wait one mile for her snack, so she yelled "Run Faster Mommy!"  Well, I think our last 5K was probably one of Kyle's favorites.  It involved a bit of color - well, actually quite a lot of color.  I'd say she had an awesome time, and we'll be back next year.

This is airplane country

You know you are in the land where planes are built, when there is a playground designed around them! She had an absolute blast.

Mama, Can I play?

Apparently toys at the doctor's office have gotten a bit more exciting.

Herm the Germ Dash

Kla Ya Ha days came to Snohomish a bit ago.  Mama set out and completed a five mile run.  Kyle took on her first kids dash.  It was clear from the smile on her face that what spot you finish does not matter one bit.  She was so excited, she actually started twice.  Plus who doesn't want to yell "I'm super fast" the entire time you're running.  Even more cute was the fact she said Thank You when given her prize - a toothbrush and small frog.

After a long run, it's nice to sit down and relax!
