Swimming with Sharks...or at least looking the part

Jack donned all his shark gear for a recent pool party.  He also tackled a mega slide and quickly declared "That was not fun!"  after barreling into the water.  Luckily this was followed by cake and quickly forgetting what he originally thought was a traumatic moment.

Kyle broke out all her swim moves to head further across the pool than ever before.  It was so amazing to see how far she has come in one year with lessons.

Besides swimming, we have also been busy capturing life as super heroes,

and creating colorful stain glass pictures.

Cosmic Bowl...no gutters

We visited the nearby bowling alley for some old school fun with a cosmic flair.  This place totally hit home with paper scores and bowls that sometimes did not return.  It was everything you would want the kids' first bowling experience to be...with the added bonus of glowing socks.  They loved every minute and both declared they were excellent at bowling.  Kyle was able to bring down a strike while Jack's bowl often slowed to a stop before even making the pins.

Saying Good-Bye to 2017 on the Edge of the Ocean

For the New Year holiday, we traveled to Westport with family for crabbing and clamming.  The weather was cold but sunny.  Kyle quickly jumped right in for pulling crabs and digging clams. She filled her quota pretty quick...with a much-loved baby clam.  The realization they were going to be eaten was a bit more startling, and she decided to skip the slimy part.  There was also fun times with clam chowder on the beach, smores, tired dogs, and life-long memories.  Plus the most glorious sunset to say good-bye to 2017.  It's been a year full of love, laughter, and growth.  2018 can only bring something even greater.

Merriment In Force

Christmas Day brought an unexpected surprise this year with snow covering the ground.  Luckily despite the weather Santa was still able to deliver.  There was family, friends, yummy treats, and sledding.  We saw gingerbread houses and water habitats.  Epic snowman were built.  It was as glorious as Christmas is meant to be!
