The excitement of the holiday

This year, Kyle definitely got more interested in the idea of Christmas.  She did not really focus much on removing the wrapping, but was very excited to see what was in each package.  Luckily she was spoiled from every angle, so there will be plenty to entertain her for months.  Her parents wisely set aside a few items to appear later.

Figuring out from her cousins the secret to opening gifts!

Heading out for some shopping.

Oooh...look at his toys!

A little help with a gift.

Let's get this thing built fellas!

Look what Daddy spent 4 hours building last night!

Yeah...my car!

Happy for stocking stuffers.

Baking some brownies.

Reading a good book with Papa and Grandma.

What girl doesn't love new wheels?

Strike a Pose

Before we embarked on all the present unwrapping, I asked Kyle to sit in front of the tree.  No idea why, but this little lady took it upon herself to look even more adorable.

Just like Mama

Kyle has taken to feeding her baby while rocking, just like her Mama used to do many a night with her.  So sweet!

Hmm...what are these?

Kyle has quickly learned there might be additional benefits to the tree, other than just the pretty lights and ornaments.  Lucky for her parents, she's not as sneaky as she might believe.

Pretty Tree!

Since this mama recently celebrated another birthday, I got to play a day.  It seemed as good a time as any to start our Christmas celebrations, so we trekked out to cut down our tree and decorate it with a lifetime of ornaments.  It was a wonderful day.  Plus someone loves to gaze at the tree, and so far, has been wonderful about not pulling on the pretty things.

Many Days of Thanks

Apologies for the brief hiatus; however, someone needed to learn a bit more about photo storage.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, Kyle and her parents traveled back to Iowa for a visit.  After a very long and tiring plane rides, it's likey this will be Kyle's last flight for awhile.  Everyone was happy to be home, but so thankful to spend time with family and enjoy unexpected warm Iowa weather.

A Day at the Museum

Kyle and I went to the Everett Children's Museum this weekend.  This place is fantastic with an airplane, water station, a vet clinic, a treehouse, and many other fun rooms.  Yet Kyle was more than happy to spend the whole day at the train station.  Who knew?

One Year Later

A year ago, four 7 month olds visited the pumpkin patch with lots of baby cuteness and some tears.

This year, four 19 months olds visited the pumpkin patch with lots of running, claps, and hugs for everyone.

Quack Quack

In preparation for Halloween, we have been constantly asking Kyle "what does the duck say?" Without fail, every time, she has said with excitement "Duck, Duck." We finally just went with it. This little duck had the time of her life waddling up and down the street seeing all the trick-or-treaters. She had little interest in candy, but proudly displayed her pumpkin to anyone who wanted a look.
