Kyle is Alert at Times

Over the past week, Kyle has been more alert.  Although there are still many moments filled with her favorite activity of sleeping.  We are loving the moments where she looks into our face or just before falling asleep where she seems to smile with anticipation.  She also loves to stretch out as much as possible and goes through a bit of a routine when waking up from a nap.  For the most part, she is an extremely pleasant baby, only fussing a bit when hungry. 

Introducing Kyle

Kyle Miller Watson made her appearance at 5:01 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011.  She weighed 8 pounds and was 21 inches long. 

While I recovered, Travis perfected the swaddle and became aquainted with his baby girl.

Over the past week, Kyle has experienced a regular routine of sleeping and eating.  The open-eyed moments are becoming more frequent, which is exciting her parents.  At her one week check-up, she was a whopping 22 inches long (98% percentile).  The size of her feet might be a future indicator of height.  She was also in the 70% percentile for weight, but has a healthy appetite so this may change in the future.  We are so excited for the days to come.
