When the NCAA tournament scheduled was announced, I was beyond excited to discover Iowa was coming to Seattle. There may have also been several immediate texts from Richards family members. With great anticipation, Kyle put on her cheerleading outfit and attended her very first Hawkeye event. After this, I am pretty certain she knows where to go to college.
From many respects, she stole the show. At one point, yelling out "white guys share with the red guys." We apparently need to go over the rules of basketball. Clapping whenever anyone else did. Dancing to the Iowa fight song and being all around giddy. At several random times, she also screamed out "Go Seahawks" which pretty much sealed the deal for everyone at the arena.
Sadly, Iowa did not make the Sweet 16 but what a fun season. From my days at the U of I, I am thrilled with how our basketball program has grown. Now if I can only figure out to get her to a football game!
