Well, there has been a reason behind the lack of posting and limited pictures on the blog. Kyle (and her parents) are currently homeless. Some time ago, Travis and I saw a house that we both fell in love with. We made an offer that was accepted. Anticipating moving in January, we put our house on the market hoping it would sell this Winter. Well, it sold in less than 36 hours. We were all set to move from one house to the other. Unfortunately, we have found purchasing a foreclosure comes with many difficulties and multiple requests for extensions. So as of February 3, we are without a home. Keeping our fingers crossed we can move into the new place soon. Luckily, Papa John and Grandma Donna have graciously allowed us to move in with them. Kyle is more than pleased with this new arrangement since now there are four people to be amazed at her every endeavor.
So much has changed this month. Our little baby is turning into a toddler, probably does not hurt that she still seems to be about a foot taller than all the other kids. She now wobbles everywhere, touting monkeys, dolls, and any other object she can find. She loves digging in her snack trab and pulling out a handfull of goodies. It's amazing how much she can eat. She also loves pasta, peas and carrots, pears, and at the top of the list will always be cheese. Kyle is known to throw a bit of a tantrum when she does not get her cheese.
She's learned of her ability to push buttons to make music or flash lights. She loves flipping through a book and staring at the pages. At night when we read our bedtime story, she will anxiously await for the moment to flip the page. When she figures out the ability to open up something on one of her toys, she'll do it over and over. It's all just been so fun to watch as she starts figuring out her own capabilities.
With her recent focus on walking and activity, talking has moved a bit to the background. Although she still babbles and seemed to be focusing on the word "duck" the other night. I suspect as she gets her legs underneath her, a tirade of words will soon be coming out.
In just one month, our little girl is going to be 1! Hopefully by that time, she'll have a home.
